Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Price Family Law collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have about it.
Who we are
Price Family Law Support provides family law guidance, strategy and case preparation services in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
You can contact us about privacy at hello@pricefamilylaw.co.uk or on 0330 043 5578.
Information we collect
When you enquire or book, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method and whatever you choose to tell us about your matter.
If you become a client we also process the documents you send us, which may include court orders, statements and financial information. Some of this is sensitive information about family circumstances, health or children.
Our website collects basic technical information such as pages visited and approximate location. Analytics cookies are only used where you have agreed to them.
How we use your information
To respond to your enquiry, arrange consultations, deliver the services you have engaged us for, take payment, and keep records of the advice and support given.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have specifically asked to hear from us.
Lawful basis
We rely on your consent for initial enquiries and any marketing, on the performance of a contract for delivering our services, and on our legitimate interests in running and improving the practice.
Where we handle sensitive information, we do so on the basis that it is necessary for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
Sharing your information
We use trusted service providers for email, secure file transfer, scheduling and payments. They process information only on our instructions.
We share your information with third parties such as solicitors or barristers only when you ask us to, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after twelve months. Client files are kept for six years from the end of the matter, after which they are securely destroyed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
How to contact us
